Kristin Harris has been providing broadcast, corporate and federal clients with a wide range of design services for the past 25 years. She has created character animation, motion graphics, illustration, print and web design and branding programs. Studio clients have included HBO Family, HBOL, Funrise Toys, Comchoice, Discovery Communications, PBS, Children’s Hospital, International Television Association, Marriott and Department of Health and Human Services.
The studio specializes in producing and animating educational media for children. Kristin combines her skills in visual learning with a profound respect for the innate curiosity of young children. Her background in fine arts and thirty-five year involvement with children as both an instructor and volunteer in schools all over the country have helped her create a voice and style that engages children.
Kristin has produced over 50 short form animations for kids. HBO Family/HBOL has broadcast forty of her interstitials. Her work has been included in the Chicago International Children's Film Festival, The Museum of Television and Radio's International Children's Television Festival in New York and Los Angeles, The Kalamazoo Animation Festival International and the East Lansing Children’s Film Festival, San Diego Children’s Film Festival and Spudfest.
Her college-level teaching experience includes nine years in the Art Department at Lynchburg College as well as courses at Randolph College, the Virginia Governor's School of Math, Science & Technology, Art Institute of Washington and Northern Virginia Community College (Alexandria). Numerous art and technology workshops have been presented at summer programs at Howard University, American University and various art galleries and art museums.
A member of Women in Film & Video Washington DC, she facilitates the WIFV Animators Roundtable. Kristin received a BA in Fine Arts from UCLA and an MFA from The George Washington University.
